On 31st, July, with the authorization of central radio and television station, CITVC (China International Television Corporation) signed the cooperation framework agreement with CMCC (China Mobile Communications Corporation) in Beijing. As per this agreement, the both parties will give play to their respective advantages and conduct in-depth cooperation in 6 fields including 5G technology research and development and 4K ultra HD channel construction.

The cooperation between both parties will be technology, content and capitals, in which, in technology, the both parties will set up laboratory together to establish the production and distribution platform based on 5G content. They will build 4K television channel together to realize 4K Ultra HD live TV and VR live video and realize the content accurate recommendation by artificial intelligence (AI). In content, both parties will deeply tap into the rich IP resources they have accumulated in the field of digital content and work together to create high-quality content that meets the requirements of the State and the needs of the people. The two parties will also cooperate with domestic equipment manufacturers to jointly develop 5G-based ultra-high definition video terminal acquisition, editing and broadcasting equipment, and a new generation of 4K ultra-high definition video transmission equipment based on 5G network. In capital, the signatories will discuss to become the shareholder to both affiliates to set up more kinds of cooperation modes such as the convergence media industry funds together.

The industrial insiders believe that, the combination of both parties creating a model of integrated development featuring content + technology +channels will play a positive role in enhancing the communication power, guiding power, influence and credibility of the central mainstream media.
