On March 21th, China Mobile’s chairman Yang Jie pointed out on the 2018 Performance Releasing Conference that China Mobile has been actively promoting the development of 5G with full efforts to promote the formulation of 5G standards, technology maturity, commercial application and ecological construction. To the next step, China Mobile will continue to maintain the leading superiority to promote the transformation and development with focusing on “4G changes life, 5G changes society” and being adhere to the public customer market and the vertical sector of government and enterprise industry to implement the 5G+ plan.

Yang Jie pointed out that, 5+ planning is showed in three fields. Firstly will be 5G+4G, and 5G will coexist with 4G for a long period to satisfy the demands from users in data business and voice service. Secondly will be 5G+AICDE, to promote close integration of 5G with new information technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, cloud computing, big data and edge computing and provide more and richer application. Thirdly will be 5G+Ecology, 5G is not only for operators or equipment manufacturers, but also for the whole society. 5G ecosystem will be built together with colorful vertical industry applications.

Yang Jie hopes that, the 5G terminals will be multi-mode and multi-frequency but multi-morphological, and he will positively explores new business mode to change the model of 4G billing mainly based on single dimensionality of traffic but providing Multi-dimensional, multi-dimensional, multi-mode billing so as to promote the application of 5G in different fields and ranges and realize much more value of 5G. In this way, it will promote development of economic society and satisfy the demand of people to better life.
